The Ministry of Health conduts walk-in interviews for Health workers

The Ministry of Health has launched a nationalwide recruitment drive to 6,000 health workers in April, aiming to address staffing shortages in health facilities across Malawi through walk- in interviews at regional centres.
In a memo signed by secretary to to health Samson Mndolo , the initiative aims to fill critical vacancies in various healthcare facilities , particularly in rural areas where medical personnel are scare.
According to the statement from the Ministry, the recruitment process will priotize candidates willing to serve in rural health centres and district hospitals , prosectives applicants who are unwilling to work in these areas have been advised not to attend the interviews.
The positions available include senior biomedical engineers , clinic officers , pharmacists just to mention a few. To qualify applicants must have graduated from accredited imstitutions and be registered with relevant professional bodies.
A senior official from the Ministry Dr Chikondi Mbewe , emphasized the importance if hiring dedicated individuals.
"The government is committed to strengthening the health sector, especially in remote areas , we are looking for passionate professionals who understand the needs of rural communities." She said.
The walk-in interviews will be conducted at designated regional health offices , candidates are required to bring their original academic certificates, national identification cards and registration documents from professional councils . Interviews will include a short oral assessment followed by skills evaluation where necessary.
A selection panel comprising Ministry officials snd senior medical personnel will oversee the process to ensure transparency and merit-based recruitment . Those who pass interviews will recieve immediate job offers and deployment details.
The Ministry has urged all eligible candidates to take advantage of this opportunity , as the recruitment drive aligns with the government 's agenda of improving healthcare delivery in rural Malawi, with many rural clinics understaffed the initiative is expected to enhance health care access for thousands of Malawians .
Successful candidates are expected to report to their respective stations with a specified period . Failure to comply with a deployment terms may lead to revocation of employment offers.
