Twin Visionaries Nickson and Kelvin Mvula Entrepreneurial Rise

Nickson and Kelvin Mvula are an exception young entrepreneurs , born and raised in Chilinde. 

These twin brothers have taken the entrepreneurial scene by storm , leveraging their unique bond to build a successful phone accessories business. 

Nickson attributed that "growing up was not easy we face alot of monetary problems , at the same time we were always fascinated by the world of business, we would spend hours discussing ideas , brainstorming solutions to our hardships and learning from our parent's strengths." He said 

Kelvin also attributed to their vision  in entrepreneurship saying "our parents helped us in the foundation of our entrepreneurial endeavor. 
"We are able to pay our school fees from the business and help our family at large." 

Nickson and kelvin Mvula's story serves as a testament to the power of entrepreneurship, perseverance, and family bond. 

As they continue to be successful they are an inspiration to the young entrepreneurs and their legacy will undoubtedly insipre a new generation of entrepreneurs.

"Tomato Shortage Hits Lilongwe:Prices Skyrocket as Supply Dwindles"

Picture: Tomato affected by pests and diseases.  February 6 ,2025 A severe shortage of Tomatoes has hit Lilongwe, leaving consumers scrambling to find the staple ingredient and driving prices up by as much as 50%. The scarcity, attributed to a combination of factors including drought, pests and diseases, has affected major markets in Lilongwe.  "We used to sell tomatoes at MK250 each tomato but now we are selling at MK500" said Fostina Kumkwezu, a vendor at Kawale market. "It has been a challenge to find Tomatoes and when we do they are  expensive."said Mary Chirwa a consumer. The Ministry of Agriculture has attributed the shortage to a combination of factors including pests and diseases. "We are working with Farmers to address the challenges they are facing",said Ministry of Agriculture spokes person Priscilla Mateyu. The Ministry of Health conduts walk-in interviews for Health workers

By: Jane Chimchere  April 2, 2025 The Ministry of Health has launched a nationalwide recruitment drive to 6,000 health workers in April, aiming to address staffing shortages in health facilities across Malawi through walk- in interviews at regional centres.  In a memo signed by secretary to to health Samson Mndolo , the initiative aims to fill critical vacancies in various healthcare facilities , particularly in rural areas where medical personnel are scare.  According to the statement from the Ministry, the recruitment process will priotize candidates willing to serve in rural health centres and district hospitals , prosectives applicants who are unwilling to work in these areas have been advised not to attend the interviews.  The positions available include senior biomedical engineers , clinic officers , pharmacists just to mention a few. To qualify applicants must have graduated from accredited imstitutions and be registered with relevant professional bodies....
